“I was, to be honest, a little sceptical about faith-healing meetings, even though I had received tremendous healings for emotional wounds. The whole idea of seeing people healed physically, while others were not, was a little bit of a stumbling block. I desired to see God move like this regardless, but I just wanted to try to get my head around it. Well, that was before I went to a church meeting where Pastor Weston Carryer was ministering.
I was called out of the crowd before the message was preached. I had suffered from severe abdominal cramps for approximately three to four years. My condition had become so severe and embarrassing that I found working alone in our store incredibly difficult. My cramps were so bad by this time that I had to be very careful what I ate and at what time. The pastor prayed about my condition; I felt the Holy Spirit upon me, but still felt quite unwell. I can’t say it was an instant healing (although compared to conventional medicine, it was).
Within a week, God had totally healed me and set me free to do the work I had at hand. I was just recently speaking to a staff member about how things used to be, and how that now I could quite easily be at work by myself for a long period of time, where only a year ago I couldn’t even imagine. God has truly set me free, and I know He can do it for anyone.
To the congregation I would say, don’t spend another day robbed from the things God would have you do, but come forward and be healed and made whole by the power of the Holy Spirit. Isn’t it great that we serve a mighty, all-powerful, awesome, living God where all things are possible?” —Anita Verneer
