When I was thirty years old (in the year 2000), I was pulling on a pulley rope, in the course of my work, and it snapped causing me to fall backwards onto a rock. This did serious damage to my back and caused many complications. Over the next nine years I had to have six back operations. At one stage the back seemed to be improving. But then a cow rolled on me and caused havoc with the screws that had been screwed in to the back. The screws had to be removed and a cage was inserted.
However, in 2009, the pain started getting worse and worse. By 2012, my back continued to deteriorate so that I could not even walk without the help of a walking stick despite being on 160 milligrams of morphine every day. The pain also went down both my legs. On the night of 15 February 2013, I attended a divine healing meeting at Ruawai where Weston Carryer was ministering. I went with a terrific expectation that the Lord was going to do a miracle for me. I was in the overflow room at the meeting working the closed circuit TV, and after a while, Weston called out my condition.
I could not get to the front fast enough. As he prayed for me the intense pain that I was in just disappeared and I immediately felt normality return to my back and legs. It was incredible. That was over seven months ago now and I have had no further pain or restriction in my legs or lower back. I am now able to live a normal life and was able to come off all morphine and other painkillers. I am so grateful to the Lord for what He has done for me.
